Where can I learn guitar in Espoo? +
WE Musiikkikoulu is a private guitar school in central Kivenlahti, Espoo. The studio sits at the Länsimetro Kivenlahti terminus, so you can reach us by metro directly from Tapiola, Matinkylä, Espoonlahti and across the Helsinki capital region. We teach students from age 6 through to adults.
How much do guitar lessons cost in Espoo? +
A 45-minute trial lesson is 30 €. Regular lessons are priced at 41 € / 30 min, 52 € / 45 min, and 63 € / 60 min per lesson. Lessons are booked for the autumn or spring term, and there are no separate term or registration fees.
From what age can a child start guitar lessons? +
We accept students from age 6. For the youngest we use shorter, playful 30-minute lessons with a child-sized guitar. From middle-school age onwards, lessons are 45–60 minutes.
Do I need to own a guitar before starting lessons? +
You don't need an instrument for the trial lesson — guitars are available at the studio. For regular practice we recommend buying your own guitar after the first couple of lessons, by which point we will know together which instrument suits you best.
Where are lessons held and how do I get there? +
The studio is in Kivenlahti, Espoo — at the Länsimetro Kivenlahti terminus. The exact address is sent when you book your lesson. You can reach us by Metro M1/M2 from anywhere in the Helsinki capital region, by car, or by bike.
How often are lessons, and how long? +
Lessons are usually held once a week at the same time. For the youngest students, 30 minutes is often the best fit; from middle-school age onwards, 45–60 minutes is the most common length. The exact rhythm and time are agreed with you at the start of the term.
What does the trial lesson cost, and how do I book it? +
The trial lesson is 30 € and lasts 45 minutes. Book it via the contact form or by emailing info@wemusiikkikoulu.fi.
Do you teach adult beginners? +
Yes — about half of our students are adults, and many start with no prior playing experience. A pace tailored for adults and realistic goals are key to keeping the hobby enjoyable.
Can lessons be taught in English or another language? +
Lessons are available in Finnish, English, Swedish, German or Mandarin Chinese. Teacher Yunjia Liu speaks all five languages fluently.
Are there guitar lessons in English in Espoo? +
Yes — lessons can be taught in English. Teacher Yunjia Liu speaks fluent English, Mandarin, German, and Swedish in addition to Finnish. The studio is at the Kivenlahti metro terminus (M1/M2), about 25 minutes from central Helsinki. A 45-minute trial lesson is 30 €.
Which styles do you teach — classical only? +
Classical guitar is the teacher's background, but lessons move freely between styles. Pop, rock, blues, jazz, flamenco — whatever sparks the student's interest.
How quickly will I play my first song? +
A recognisable first song usually comes together within the first 2–3 lessons. A solid technical foundation takes months to develop, but early wins come right from the start.
Can I cancel or reschedule a lesson? +
You can reschedule a lesson at no cost by giving at least 24 hours' notice. A lesson cancelled with less notice is billed normally, except for sudden illness.
